Why Vitamin C Helps Aging Skin

Why Vitamin C Helps Aging Skin

My favorite skincare hack at the moment is Vitamin C. Yep, it is true those little orange vitamins our parents gave us as kids are even better for our skin. So why is this and what kind of skincare products should I be using?

Vitamin C is one of the most well-researched and beneficial vitamins you can apply topically. I learned about the benefits from my dermatologist who told me if you use it regularly it has been shown to improve the look of multiple signs of aging, brighten an uneven skin tone, as well as provide skin-restoring and soothing benefits.

Long-term topical use has been clinically shown to regenerate collagen and improve the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin C also lightens pigmentation and brightens over all skin tone.

Amazing, where do I sign up?

I do not overly like spending a million dollar on skincare products so I found a Vitamin C powder from Skinstitut which I apply each night with Rose Hip Oil. Its about $30 and lasts 3 months.  It helps with:

  • Protects against free radical damage
  • Assists with collagen production and skin firmness
  • Improves skin colour, radiance and tone

One of the biggest dangers to our skin is the sun and Vitamin C helps repair and rejuvenate against this damage.

Tell us about your Vitamin C experience, we would love to hear from you.
